VDC Helps Crystal Clear Audio Deliver Great Sounding Audio

Crystal Clear Audio, a company that specialises in high quality AV installations for churches and schools, has installed a new sound system at St. Meryl’s Primary School, Watford, on behalf of Carpenter’s Park Church.

The Church regularly uses the school’s main hall for its services, but was frustrated by the poor quality of their old sound system. After discussions with the school, church organisers were given the go-ahead to install a new system and Crystal Audio’s experts were called in to sort it out.

“Our brief was to install a new system that was compact, simple to put together and very easy to use,” says Crystal Clear’s managing director Nick Fatkin. “The main components of the system are Van Damme Black Series multicore cable and VDM connectors, all of which was supplied by VDC Trading. We also specified stage boxes and an Allen & Heath mixer, along with Shermann speakers that are permanently mounted on RSJs.”

Client response to the new sound system has been very positive. The main users to date have been the church group who report great sounding audio throughout the hall. The school can also access the system and there are plans to use it for functions such as end of term concerts and assemblies.

Crystal Clear Audio has notched up many prestigious AV installation projects since it was established in 1990 and boasts a customer base that includes St. Martin’s Church, Trafalgar Square, London; St. Helen’s, Bishopsgate; The Russell School, Chorleywood; Newland House School, Teddington and The Bedford School.

Fatkin believes good suppliers are key to the success of his business, which is why he always uses VDC Trading for all his cables and connectors. “The first time I used VDC, I’d been let down by another supplier and was in a panic,” he says. “Yet despite placing a very late order, VDC delivered exactly what I needed in time to meet my deadline. The service I received impressed me so much that I made an immediate decision to only use VDC in the future.”
