Warwick Launches Exeter Festival for Second Time

Warwick Corporate Events will yet again be playing a major role in the launch and closing ceremonies for this year’s spectacular 31st Exeter Summer Festival.

The Festival is produced and promoted by Exeter City Council and Warwick is providing the stage, lighting and sound for the EDF Energy Party on Exeter Quay on Friday 7th July, which will also feature a dramatic fireworks display.

The Devon-based company, which is one of the UK’s top events organisers, has bases in Honiton and Exeter. It started 21 years ago and is among the top businesses in Britain capable of locating a venue, fitting it out, scripting and choreographing an entire event.

A stage roofing system spanning 14 x 6 metres will be supplied for the Festival launch – one of the only such structures in Europe. Warwick is also supplying lighting for the event, along with two stage wings which will carry the main sponsors’ banners which are three metres wide and five metres high.

The closing event on Saturday 22nd July in Northernhay Gardens will feature a 16-piece jazz band and circus performers.

“Part of the reason I am still so passionate about what we do, even after over two decades, is that we get to take part in so many fantastic occasions,” said David Warwick. “Seeing how what we supply and produce helps an event become a success is a real pleasure.”

June was an exceptionally busy month for the company, which provided lighting, sound and a two-storey marquee for the annual conference for The Chartered Institute of Wastes Management in Paignton.
