Cornered Audio Systems to Launch LoungeSub at PLASA

The new LoungeSub from Cornered combines sound reinforcement with extra seating! Designed as a pouffe, the LoungeSub is as much a piece of furniture as it is a subwoofer and therefore especially suited for venues in which the sub cannot be hidden.

The cabinet is upholstered and covered in fire retardant nappa leather. There are no visible speaker terminals, as the cables are connected to a barrier strip terminal placed behind the grille. Speaker cables slide out discreetly from below the grille either directly down into the floor or to the front. Mounting holes behind the grille allow the cabinet to be fixed to the floor and a foam covered steel grille with large air-to-metal ratio protects the woofer.

A reflex loaded 12” woofer with long excursion and vented magnet system is featured in the C12PNC and it delivers a strong and very physical bass performance. Of course, especially for those who chose to sit on it, the LoungeSub comes standard in black leather and can be fitted with custom material upon request.

Also on show at PLASA 2006 will be the wide-dispersion version of the C6TRM top-box. As all Cornered top-boxes it is triangular in shape, made of aluminium and mounts in corners or onto walls and ceilings without brackets. Designed for medium SPL applications in Cafés and retail outlets, the C6 features Danish made drive units with excellent clarity and speech intelligibility.
