HHB to Distribute Event Monitor Speakers in the UK
HHB Communications has announced its appointment as exclusive UK distributor for Event Electronics. The move follows the acquisition of the US-based monitor loudspeaker manufacturer by Røde Microphones, for whom HHB has successfully operated as UK distributor for the past 10 years.
Event builds a full range of competitively priced, high performance active monitors, which have already found favour with a host of award-winning producers, engineers, composers, and sound designers. And as HHB sales director Steve Angel explains, the future looks even brighter.
“Event has some excellent nearfield monitor designs that are already attracting rave reviews around the world. With renewed energy from Røde’s involvement, I confidently predict even more performance, innovation and cost-efficiency in the months and years ahead.”
A sign of things to come, Event¹s new ALP5 (Active Linear Phase 5) bi-amplified monitors redefine excellence in cost-effective, small footprint studio reference systems - using a time-corrected baffle design to achieve exceptional midrange clarity, precise phase alignment of the drivers for superb stereo imaging and an advanced system design for bigger low end and louder playback.
Other active monitors in the current range include the Tuned Reference series comprising the TR6, TR8 and TR8XL models through to the top-of-the-range Studio Precision 6 and 8 models, which utilise a unique dual-port design to achieve true, accurate, powerful low end, along with a specially designed soft dome tweeter for smooth HF response and superb stereo imaging.
