Old Deal, New Deal
Blitz has been selected by Endemol West, producers of the hugely successful TV show Deal or No Deal, to provide AV equipment and services for its next series which will be aired this Autumn. The show, which attracts over five million viewers every day, is presented by Noel Edmunds who acts as a go-between amongst 22 people, 22 sealed boxes and 22 different cash prizes.
Blitz has a long standing relationship with Endemol, and its work on the new series of Deal or No Deal is a continuation of its trusting partnership with the production company. Blitz has worked on Deal or No Deal from the outset in September 2005, having supplied the LED screen for Endemol's pilot shows. Following this, it was commissioned to provide the AV equipment for series one and two, for which recording ended in June.
Blitz is set to return to the Deal or No Deal studio in October this year, when filming for series three begins, and will be working in partnership with Endemol on the project until June 2007. It will again provide the LED 6mm pixel pitch screen which measures in at 1.92 x 2.88 metres and is used as the vital scoreboard during the show. In addition to this, a permanent member of Blitz staff will be onsite for the entire duration of filming in order to keep the system running smoothly and maintained properly.
Paul Hutton, managing director of Blitz comments: "The long standing relationship that we have with Endemol means that we really understand each other and work well together. We very much feel a part of the Deal or No Deal team and we are enthused by working on the next round of shows."
