Selecon to Host Lighting MasterClasses in Scandinavia
Hosted by Selecon and facilitated by multi-award-winning lighting designer Rick Fisher; the Let's Talk About Light series of lighting MasterClasses is confirmed for September 2006. The first will be held in Stockholm in conjunction Bellalite Ljusdesign AB (http://www.bellalite.se) and the second in Helsinki in conjunction with HedCom Oy (http://www.hedcom.fi).
During the course of a full-day attendees will rig various lighting states within a theatre environment. Each scene will then be talked through with the group to try to find different ways to enhance the designer’s work. Rick, who is well-known for his work in the West End, as well as Broadway, will also share his experiences of working with a wide and varied theatre community.
“We are expecting that these MasterClasses will draw the attention of professional lighting designers and technicians keen to both participate in a round table discussion forum and to benefit from the insight of one of the most prolific lighting designers on the international stage,” says Mike Goldberg, Selecon’s European sales and marketing director.
