First ACF Budapest in November

In November (21-23), Hungary will host his first edition of the Audio-Visual Creative Fair – ACF. This fair, which has existed for over 20 years in Belgium, will open its doors in the Europa Congress Centre in Budapest. Initially, the organisers wished to bring together 60 exhibitors in this new congress centre, but as time passed, several Hungarian and foreign organisations lent their support to the event and now it will be an audio-visual event in the broadest sense of the term.

Visitors will become immersed in the world of sound, light, images and show equipment for three days. Apart from contacts with different exhibitors from Hungary and the rest of the world, the organisers are now offering a programme of additional features. Demonstration areas, live projections and laser shows will be involved. And in keeping with tradition, the organising committee has selected a high-level panel of lecturers to debate major contemporary audio-visual topics.

Gábor György, head of pepresentation of the European Commission in Hungary, will present a lecture titled ‘Small and Medium Enterprises are Strategic for the Development of Audio-Visual in Europe’. Audio-visual archiving is evolving very quickly today and András Bálint Kovács, director of NAVA, National Audio-Visual Archive, and Roger Roberts, director of RTBF (Belgian TV), will combine their expertise for an exclusive lecture with the title ‘Audio-Visual Archiving in Hungary and Europe’.

János Keresnyei, president of the European Association of City Television, and Rumen Sztojanov, managing director of Rexfilm Broadcast and Communication Systems Ltd, will speak on the challenges of HDTV during the lecture titled ‘The New Challenges of Digital Television’.

Sound and light are not being overlooked and new technologies techniques will be the subject of three lectures. The first ‘New acoustic efforts, innovations and realisations in professional building industry’ will be presented by Andor Tamas Fürjes,Acreon Ltd, and guests. The second ‘Perfect sound in perfect home theatres’ from the acoustics point of view will be presented by Istvan Törzsök Acreon Ltd. The third one, ‘Acoustic technology in large events’ will be presented by Zöld Zsold, manager of Audmax Ltd.
