HHB Announces Source: Increases Commitment to UK Distribution
HHB Communications has announced the creation of a dedicated UK distribution division called Source. The move recognises the company¹s significantly increased commitment to the UK distribution of professional audio and music production products, and comes at a time when Universal Audio joins a prestigious list of distributed brands that already includes Røde microphones, PreSonus recording tools and Sony Oxford Plug-ins.
A dedicated sales team headed by Source Director of Distributed Brands Howard Jones is in place, with technical service and customer support provided by the largest independent pro audio service facility in Europe, located at Source¹s London premises. Extensive advertising and promotional activities are planned including specialist press and on-line advertising, exhibitions and point-of-sale promotions.
“At Source, we¹re focused on getting the basics right,” explains Jones. “That means knowledgable staff, readily available stock, streamlined logistics and, most importantly, a portfolio of cutting-edge products.”
The full line-up of brands distributed exclusively in the UK by Source comprises Universal Audio, Røde, PreSonus, Event, Millennia, Lynx Studio Technology, Rosendahl, Sony Oxford Plugins, Eventide and HHB, with other product announcements expected in the near future.
Key Source personnel include distribution sales manager Tony Musgrove, MI sales manager Chris Hawkins and sales administrator Caroline Cook.
Speaking at the Source launch reception at London’s Ivy restaurant, Managing Director Ian Jones said: “With the recent additions of PreSonus, Event and Universal Audio, our distribution business in the UK has reached critical mass, triggering the formation of Source as an independent business unit. We want to demonstrate to dealers our absolute commitment to helping their businesses grow, and feel confident that we have the team, the products and the infrastructure in place to achieve our goals.”
