Martin MAC TW1 Tungsten Fixtures to Fairlight of Holland
Martin Professional’s Dutch representative, Fairlight, has taken receipt of some of the first MAC TW1 Tungsten automated wash fixtures to roll off the Danish lighting manufacturer’s production line in Frederikshavn, Denmark. Fairlight subsequently supplied 24 of the all-in-one 1200W washlights to Rent-All, one of the largest rental companies in Holland.
“The MAC TW1 is a very welcome addition to our current stock of more then 1600 moving heads,” commented Rent-All’s Theo van Workum. “The reasons for investing in the TW1 are numerous. First of all, lighting designers love the color mixing system and the large amount of colors that can be achieved. The colors are indeed deeper than any previous Martin fixture. Secondly, with the TW1 it is now possible to match exactly the colors of a traditional theatre lighting fixture.
“Several rental companies in Holland had the opportunity to do comparisons between several brands that offer a halogen moving light fixture. They were all very positive about the light output of the TW1. Even at the largest beam angle, the TW1 was superior to other products.”
The first 24 MAC TW1 units will see service in a theatre and on a Dutch TV show. Upon hearing the reactions of several lighting designers, Theo van Workum commented that Rent-All would definitely be increasing their stock of the MAC TW1 in the coming months.
