Successful PLASA for ChainMaster

The ChainMaster team from Eilenburg are highly satisfied with their successful participation at the PLASA show in London: "We have been exhibiting here for ten years now and manage each time to acquire new international contacts," says Frank Hartung, the managing director of the Saxon firm. The presentation of new products, the strengthening of existing relationships with customers, and the coordination of projects already in progress were also on the agenda at the company's booth, which this year occupied a new central location within the hall.
Among the new products, the JumboLift in particular was the source of great interest among visitors. The JumboLift is a BGV-C1 chain hoist with a load bearing capacity of up to 6,000 kg. The device is equipped with a frequency converter, an incremental encoder, and optionally also with an absolute value encoder. The controller is available in both one- and two-channel configurations; a control cabinet system with breakdown control can also be implemented.
A new manual controller for up to 48 chain hoists from ChainMaster also attracted a good deal of attention. This is equipped with a 5.7" touch-screen, and can be used to program runs as well as display individual positions and loads. It is also possible to effect a group shutdown in the event of the synchronicity tolerance being exceeded, the target position being overshot, the direction of rotation being incorrect, or overload or slack chain conditions occurring. Compatibility with the computerized controllers for larger systems is guaranteed.
Last but not least, ChainMaster was demonstrating for the first time in London an update for its successful VarioLift series. The update makes possible, among other things, higher run speeds. The VarioLift product range now includes models the load-bearing capacities of which range from 125 kg to 6,300 kg and conforming to the BGV-C1 guidelines. This means the company now offers a chain hoist for every scenery-related application — some capable of speeds of up to 42 metres per minute and others equipped for the heaviest loads.
