BeamHoist Raises the bar at Benenden School
Eleven Stage Technologies BeamHoists have been installed at Benenden School. The prestigious girls’ school in Kent, whose alumni include the Princess Royal, required the BeamHoists to automate scenery and lighting bars in their studio theatre, part of a new theatre and drama complex.
The BeamHoists are mounted in the roof and enable the bars to be lowered and raised easily and safely when changing scenic backdrops and lighting. Simple up and down control is provided from hand-held pendants.
BeamHoist is compact and easy to install making it ideal for school venues, television studios and as a replacement for older counterweight systems in larger theatres. Three BeamHoists have also recently been installed at the Göteborg Stadsteater in Sweden and twelve are currently being installed at the Sands Macau Hotel and Casino complex in Macau.
