SIEL 2007 Next Month in Paris

For the past 25 years, the SIEL trade show has been meeting the needs of professionals in the world of Live Entertainment, Events, Night Life and Music. The unifying get-together for all these sectors for a quarter of a century is back in Paris in February for its 25th year and offers a varied and complete programme in SIEL Live Entertainment and SIEL Night.

SIEL Live Entertainment is the benchmark trade show in the Audio Pro, Lighting, Stage Equipment and now Image sectors. You will find here all the equipment for sound systems, audio recording, mixing consoles, mics, speakers, line-array systems, amplifiers, projectors, LED walls, light consoles, dimmers and structures, as well as management software, professional training centres, insurance services, etc.

SIEL Live Entertainment is mobilising new resources to showcase the content shown by its exhibitors. These include the new Top Buyers programme, a selection of the most influential visitors. These Top Buyers will be offered privileged access to the trade show, as well as a private VIP area for their business meetings. The magazine of the trade show, the SIEL newsletter produced by Sono Magazine, will highlight the new products, equipment and systems, and will be distributed at the entrance to the trade show.

Following their clear success in last year's show, the exhibitors' Workshops are expanding this year. They will be presenting their new services and demonstrating their products, an original and more effective way to get in contact with the visitors.

A series of technical conferences covering current issues is planned. These include ‘Over-Exposure and Hearing Risks’, organised by Sono magazine, which will review current knowledge about the hearing problems created for professionals and the public, in spite of the "105 dBA" decree in force for the past eight years. It will then look into the progress made by medical science and its limits, and end up with the technical solutions on offer (new broadcasting and multicasting system).

Visitors to SIEL Live Entertainment will also have the opportunity to tune into the parallel Radio! trade show to discover the latest broadcasting solutions available in this rapidly developing market.

During SIEL Night, the European DJ Meeting, the leading event for professional meetings, will be bringing together for the second consecutive year all the record companies, labels, booking agencies, recording studios, promotion agencies, media and institutional bodies, as well as all the new developments in decks, sound systems, software and accessories for DJs.

SIEL will be putting the spotlight on VJing in 2007. VJ’s, those creative wizards who mix videos live at night events, will find at SIEL Night encoding equipment, mixing software, video mix tables, virtual keyboards, etc. New this year, the DJ Show Area, a big stage entirely dedicated to mixing and fitted out with the very latest technologies, will be hosting numerous DJ's for outstanding performances.
