HK Audio System Wins MIA Award

HK Audio System Wins MIA Award

Held at the Savoy Hotel in London’s West End, the UK’s Music Industries Association (MIA) awards evening is one of the national music industry’s annual social highlights. The MIA ‘sponsored awards’ recognise innovation, best selling products and those who have made an outstanding contribution to the industry.

Entertainment for the evening was provided by ‘guitar legend in the making’ Doyle Dykes playing an acoustic set and also legendary Yes keyboardist and TV ‘Grumpy Old Man’ Rick Wakeman, who provided tunes, jokes and anecdotes from over 30 years in the music industry.

HK Audio, represented by exclusive UK and Eire distributors, John Hornby Skewes & Co. Ltd., were delighted to be the recipients of the ‘Best Live Sound Product’ award. Sponsored by Performing Musician magazine, this prestigious gong was awarded to HK’s L.U.C.A.S Impact system. Part of the active, self-powered L.U.C.A.S PA family, Impact is a compact ‘subwoofer + 2 x satellites arrangement, capable of offering a meaty 1,200 watts RMS.
