Movecat Success at PLASA 2007

Movecat of Nufringen, a company specialising in kinetic solutions for stages and shows, made a convincing presentation at this year's PLASA show as an internationally active enterprise. Prompting the firm's first appearance as an exhibitor in London was the imminent further internationalisation of Movecat, with the search for efficient distribution partners in Europe and Asia one of the main priorities. The exclusive distributor of Movecat products worldwide is Think Abele.
The products exhibited in London included a representative cross-section of the ECO, Plus, OMK, VMK and SLG chain-hoist series along with their various controllers and illustrated common practical applications. Among the principal attractions was the Movecat SLG 500-6 chain hoist, which has a load-bearing capacity of 500 kg and a lifting speed of 6 m/min. Complying with the BGV C1 code of practice, the Movecat SLG 500-6 is equipped with a dynamic self-locking gear mechanism that makes it especially quiet and capable of virtually jerk-free operation.
Also on display in London was the Movecat Expert-T high-end chain-hoist controller. Using the Expert-T's 3D Object Group Function, it is possible to create and move synchronously 3D groups. Comfortable and intuitive operation is achieved through the graphic representation of groups and functions on the Expert-T controller's touch screen.
The full functionality of Movecat's VMK-S 250 was also illustrated. The lifting speed of the VMK-S 250 is continuously variable within the range 0 to 33 m/min, whilst its load supervision, noiseless brakes and full SIL-3 compatibility reveal, in combination with the Expert-T controller in Object Mode, new possibilities for the controlled movement of loads at large shows and events.
