Bandit Clients are Big Winners at Annual CMA Awards
Bandit Lites has announced that their clients Carrie Underwood, Sugarland, Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts all received awards at the 41st annual Country Music Association Awards. The event was broadcast live from the Sommet Center in Nashville, TN on 7th November.
Former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, continues to take the country music scene by storm. Underwood took home ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ for the second consecutive year. She also received the ‘Single of the Year’ award for ‘Before He Cheats’. Underwood performed ‘So Small’ from her latest album, Carnival Ride, which sold more than 500 albums in the first week. Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush of Sugarland accepted their first ‘Vocal Duo of the Year’ award, breaking a six consecutive year winning streak for another Bandit client, Brooks and Dunn.
Kenny Chesney was awarded his third ‘Entertainer of the Year’. Chesney performed current single ‘Don’t Blink’, from his most recent album, ‘Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates’.
Rounding up the Bandit clients earning awards this year was Rascal Flatts. They won their fifth consecutive ‘Vocal Group of the Year’ award. The 2006 top-selling artists in all genres opened the show with ‘Still Feels Good’, and closed out the evening with a song featuring Academy Award winning actor, Jamie Foxx.
