JHS HK Audio 'Music Live' Show Concert PA Systems Stolen
Early on Monday Nov 5th, a white M.A.N. 7.5 tonne truck with tail lift, reg FN54 FPZ on hire to John Hornby Skewes & Co. Ltd. and containing an HK Audio Cohedra line array concert and numerous other PA systems, was stolen from the car park at the Innkeepers Lodge, Sheldon, Birmingham.
The PA system and various ancillary equipment included Cohedra line array cabinets and subwoofers, plus a number of flight-cased VX2400 power amp racks and Digital Field Controllers. All the flight-cased cabling/fly bars for the system was also included in the haul, along with a number of HK's self-powered F.A.S.T. monitors and ConTour CT112 speaker cabinets. The Cohedra mid/high assemblies were house in large grey flight-cases, whilst the subwoofers were mounted 4 units high on dollies, protected by black 'Cohedra' logo'd road covers.
Additionally, the truck also contained a number of smaller, portable HK Audio PA systems, supplied to various exhibitors for use on their stands at Music Live 2007, including Elias, Max, Impact, Performer and Smart compact active portable PA's, all in HK-branded road covers.
In all, the total value of the goods stolen was in the region of £250,000. Due to the rapid and highly organised nature of the theft, early indications are that the PA truck was professionally 'stolen to order'.
A further press release comprehensively detailing all stolen items and respective serial numbers will be issued as soon as possible.
It would be greatly appreciated if all recipients of this email would please forward the details to any additional contacts (international magazines, pro audio websites etc) who may be able to assist in the recovery of the stolen equipment.
Anyone with any information on this theft should contact 0845 1135000, and ask for Stetchford Police Station, quoting crime reference number 20D31517707, or JHS themselves at +44 (0) 113 286 5381.
