Barry Hope Joins MattLX
MattLX has announced the appointment of Barry Hope (pictured) as project manager for the company.
With over 13 years’ experience of productions in both theatre and corporate events - Barry Joins MattLX as a key member of their project management team.
His experience derives from an established career as a lighting technician and designer based in leading UK venues including Alton Towers, Birmingham Hippodrome and the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. Adding a Midlands focus for MattLX, Barry will enhance the company’s skills and knowledge base with several years of freelance technical project delivery behind him. It wasn’t just the slightly dangerous obsession with Land Rover magazines that brought him to the attention of MattLX MD Matt Clutterham, but a number of high profile corporate events that Barry Hope had successfully undertaken in a freelance capacity for the company. His previous roles have included production management, lighting design, production lighting technician and programmer, for International theatre tours, trade/corporate and outdoor events, plus - he’s also known to do a little bit of sound!
Barry will be project managing the company’s array of ‘Full Service Projects’ as well as some design and associate design work, and with his NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety he will be heading up the team looking after MattLX’s Venue and Event Health & Safety Management services.
