Pufferfish Partner Green Hippo
Pufferfish has announced a new partnership with Green Hippo - a thoroughly brilliant bunch of like-minds, intent on delivering stunning, user-friendly AV solutions through their Hippotizer Media Servers, the world’s defacto choice for realtime video playback.
Until now, content for the PufferSphere had to be pre-rendered in AfterFX in order to appear geometrically correct on the display. The Hippotizer essentially operates like a realtime version of AfterFX, with a gorgeously intuitive GUI and plenty of clever extras thrown in for good measure. By developing a free ‘Pufferizer’ plug-in, Green Hippo have opened up a second route to spherical content production, allowing for realtime ‘spherising’ of any type of content, in addition to our existing pre-rendering option.
The Pufferizer plug-in completes Pufferfish’s content offering, providing total flexibility in the development and integration of all types of media. With this in mind, Pufferfish recommend the Hippotizer as their preferred realtime solution. Hippotizer offers the option of up to four separate live video feeds and the capacity for realtime presentation, syncing with all AV industry protocols, and many advanced VJ solutions, providing useful tools to even the most fluid of advertising campaigns.
The Hippotizer retains all of its capabilities and functionality, whilst enabling easy and seamless integration of the PufferSphere to those already using Hippotizer. Existing Green Hippo clients include global rock and pop tours (Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Destiny’s Child, Take That), theatres (Gothenburg Opera House, Chicken Shed Theatre), stage-shows (Blue Man Group, Eurovision Song Contest, Dancing on Ice), theme parks (Universal Studios Orlando), super clubs (Fire Nightclub, Liquid, Oceana). Any existing Hippotizer users will now be able to create awesome spherical displays at the click of a button.
Pufferfish’s list of global clients, coupled with the Hippotizer’s reliable global support and distribution network, signals an exciting development for all involved. Pufferfish clients worldwide will have easy access to a comprehensive and reliable realtime solution, whilst existing Green Hippo clients globally will have the option to incorporate as many PufferSpheres as they want into their existing set-ups, with no extra fuss.
