ATF to Show Congo jr at SIEL

ETC, through its French partner ATF – Avab Transtechnik France – will once again be showing off its newest and latest products at SIEL, including Congo and its little brother Congo jr, which has been a runaway success in France and across Europe.
The Congo console was designed “to be the most complete platform for control of any device – whether that happens to be conventional dimming, automated luminaires or media servers – without losing the feel of a classic lighting control system,” says Avab software developer Anders Ekvall. Other team members included Avab Transtechnik France’s Jean-Louis Pernette and Christian Rezgui, who were instrumental in directing product development. Just a year later, ETC introduced the Congo jr, with the same functionality of Congo but with a smaller footprint and smaller price tag – perfect for venues like rehearsal halls or blackbox theatres and smaller TV studios, as well as tiny lighting booths or space-starved touring trucks.
Also on show will be the Smart Solutions range, including SmartFade, SmartPack, SmartPack touring racks and SmartBars, as well as the Source Four family, including the enhanced definition lens tube (EDLT) and new 14º, 70º and 90º luminaires.
You’ll be able to hear the SineWave difference on the stand: Matrix Mk II dimming will be on display, allowing you to enjoy the silence – perfect for theatres and TV studios – which results in more efficient power handling and longer lasting lamp filaments. You’ll also be able to see and discuss with ETC staff SineWave Power Modules and Net3 DMX gateway.
ATF can be found on stand L030 at SIEL, which is on at Porte de Versailles, Paris from 11-14 February.
