Falcon 3k Xenon Fixtures Premier at Grammy Awards

Alpha One’s Falcon 3k xenon lights premiered in the US at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards. Following a hugely successful premier of Falcon 7k Beams on the recent Super Bowl halftime show, lighting designer Bob Dickinson used six Falcon 3k Beams and six 3k Falcon Flowers during the three-hour live-to-air television special.

The 49th Grammy Awards, produced by Cossette Productions, took place Sunday, February 11th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and was broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network. The show was also supported on radio via Westwood One worldwide and XM Satellite Radio, and covered online at grammy.yahoo.com.

The Falcon Beam, available in 3k to 8k for both indoor and outdoor applications, uses the very latest xenon technology, with a built-in electronic ballast and upgraded optics. These compact new fixtures are the brightest, most reliable sources to date and are specifically designed for both floor-mounted and suspended/inverted use. The Falcon Beam easily converts into a multiple-beam Falcon Flower. With the Flower option, either effect can be achieved using the same fixture body. The entire conversion takes less than 15 minutes.

Alpha One of Oyten, Germany, designs, constructs and produces a range of professional high power lighting, specializing in xenon, metal halide and LED products. TMB is the worldwide distributor for Falcon and other Alpha One products.
