Harman Pro UK at Sounds Expo

Harman Pro UK at Sounds Expo

January saw the launch in California of the 2007 product ranges from the Harman Group of pro-audio brands, and British distributor Harman Pro UK will be giving the London public their first chance to see much of the new gear at Sounds Expo 2007, running from March 1st for three days at Kensington Olympia.

As befits the home recording/computer-based audio recording focus of the Sounds Expo show, Harman are exhibiting the new lines most appropriate to that market on their stand at the show (#462) under the banner ‘Harman Pro UK In The Studio’, including studio recording mics from AKG, new additions to the MX range of Lexicon processors, and studio monitors from JBL

AKG have several new products to show in this, their 60th anniversary year, including the new affordable D5 handheld dynamic and C5 condenser mics, the Micromic range of miniaturised vocal and instrument mics, and the eye-catching anniversary-edition C414 condenser microphone, production of which is limited to just 2007 mics worldwide. Lexicon's new MX500 reverb processor, like the others in the MX range, can behave as a hardware reverb or as a software plug-in under the control of a computer-based sequencer. However, Firewire audio interfacing has been added to its abilities, so that all of its interaction with the host computer, both control data and audio I/O, is now handled down the one Firewire connection. Last but not least, monitor experts JBL will be showing the complete surround-capable LSR4300 speaker system with built-in room mode correction, now complete with the recent addition of the LSR4312P subwoofer.

Finally, Harman Pro UK are proud to be participating in the recording equipment giveaways being organised at Sounds Expo by show sponsors Digital Village. Harman equipment up for grabs during the exhibition includes a 24-channel Soundcraft Ghost mixing console, a set of JBL LSR4326 monitors, a Lexicon MX200 reverb, a set of AKG Perception 100, 200 and 400 microphones, and a pair of AKG K171 headphones. To find out more about how to enter, come down to Stand 462 during the show.
