JTS Launches Affordable Studio Condenser
With the tremendous growth in the number of home and project studios in recent years, most musicians are now well aware of the advantages of using large diaphragm condenser microphones for vocals and acoustic instruments - but finding a high quality one at an affordable price hasn’t been easy. There are plenty of convincing-looking mics on the market, some at cheap prices, but few that can really deserve the title ‘studio mic’, that people can easily afford.
Now, leading microphone manufacturer JTS, who pioneered the concept of the ‘no-compromises’ affordable microphone, has entered the market with a truly high quality studio mic which people really can afford, the JTS JS-1E.
Suitable for fully professional use, in both studio and broadcast applications, the cardioid JS-1E has a frequency response of 20 to 20,000 Hz, a sensitivity of -38 dB (12.6mV), a maximum SPL for 1% THD of 132 dB at 1kHz and an S/N ratio of 78dB.
Phantom powered (36-52 VDC), the JS-1E weighs 16.9 oz (480 grams) and comes complete with its own foam-lined case.
