Merseysound Productions Chooses Harman Pro UK Products for New Community Project
Harman Pro UK dealer Mersysound Productions has completed a project to install conference facilities and a performance Room at the Alima Centre in Liverpool, which is operated by the Novas Group community project.
The installation featured a range of Harman products including a Soundcraft GB4 24 channel mixing console; Crown I-T4000 and Xs500 amplifiers; a DBX 260 Loudspeaker EQ & Management System; a Lexicon MPX550 Multi-FX processor and a range of JBL Professional speakers including Control 25 Compact 2-way loudspeakers, VRXX932LA line array loudspeakers, an SRX7188 sub woofer and a JRX112M two-way wedge monitor.
The Alima Centre is a multicultural community venue that offers a range of services and educational and training facilities to community arts groups and schools. Its aim is to create a platform for local people to develop their individual, community and cultural aspirations. The centre houses an exhibition space and gallery to promote the Novas Group's work with people facing exclusion - for example, showcasing the heritage of Travellers or individuals with dual heritage.
Colin Reader, managing director of Merseysound Productions, says: “We have worked with the Novas Group for many years, mainly providing sound and lighting equipment for the outdoor events they run. When Novas approached us for help with the new Performance Room and conference facilities, we were delighted to specify Harman Pro UK equipment because it is tried and test and we knew it wouldn’t let them down. As this is a community facility, it was important that we installed equipment that was both reliable and easy to use.”
Merseysound Productions has over 30 years experience in the musical and conference and events industry and has been operating from its offices at the Liverpool Film Studios since 2000.
The company manages multiple events from initial advice through to set design and equipment hire. Among its many recent projects it has supplied equipment for prestigious Award Ceremonies organised by the Liverpool Daily Post & Echo and for the Liverpool Echo Fashion Show, the National Football Museum Hall of Fame, the Black History Month - Cultural Food Festival and the All That Glitters Ball, a charity event in aid of Claire House Children's Hospice.
On the entertainment side, Merseysound has been involved with sound, lighting, production and filming, for internationally renowned artists that included Lionel Richie, Westlife, Sugababes, Will Young, Charlotte Church and Jason Donovan.
