XL Video Moves to Bigger and Better Facility
XL Video UK has moved to a new 42,000 square foot premises in Hemel Hempstead – having outgrown their current one in just four years. This follows phenomenally busy and successful years in 2005 and 2006.
The new premises is a complete refurbishment of the old Express Dairies building and is still on the same Mayland’s Business Park estate. XL has invested nearly half a million pounds in the project. The new office, warehouse and studio space will include two state-of-the-art high definition edit suites. One is for XL’s current work and the other is for XL’s clients to work on originating and editing their upcoming show and event footage alongside XL Video’s own creative department headed by Chris Saunders.
There’s also a permanent projection demonstration room, complete with wide screen, available to XL’s clients and the programming team, plus a large dedicated indoor LED testing area. Six loading docks can simultaneously accommodate trucks and vehicles of different sizes. The offices are much larger and have again been designed as an open plan workspace. The company’s directors are located in the same area, working alongside the management teams and all administration staff.
A new serviced restaurant and canteen area has been created. All staff will have a choice of two hot meals at lunchtimes, and evening meals can also be arranged for those working late shifts.
XL Video UK was founded in 2000 with four employees. The company now has 67 full time staff and is one of Europe’s leading live entertainment and presentation video rental companies.
As from March 3rd, the new postal address, phone and fax details are: 2 Eastman Way, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire HP2 7DU. Telephone 01442 849400. Web and e-mail details remain the same.
