Blackout at the Sport Industry Awards

Working with Capitol House Productions, Blackout provided an LED starcloth, wool serge drape and rigging for the 6th annual UK Sport Industry Awards held at Old Billingsgate on Thursday 29 March.

Capitol House Productions put together the lighting, sound and audio visual elements. The main space at Old Billingsgate was split into two areas incorporating the awards ceremony and pre-dinner drinks and reception.

Blackout's wool serge drapes were used to conceal the kitchen, cloakroom and VIP areas. The LED Starcloth was used as a backdrop for the main stage set and entrance. Rigging was also provided for the drinks reception area for five 14ft wide projection screens. These were double sided with video projection created by Tilling on one side, and large print images provided by Action Images on the other.

Tom Lambert, project manager at Blackout, comments: “As a preferred supplier to the Old Billingsgate venue, we have worked on the Sport Industry Awards for the past couple of years. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Capitol House Productions and as ever tried to bring a lot of passion to our work in creating a vibrant and colourful awards atmosphere.”
