L-Acoustics and CAMCO Announce Joint Venture Agreement
L-Acoustics has announced the release of its new integrated amplifier and DSP platform based on two very similar models. Both the LA4 and LA8 amplified controllers offer cutting-edge loudspeaker amplification, DSP, network control, and comprehensive loudspeaker system protection in a single ergonomic package.
L-Acoustics has brought these products to the market through a joint-venture agreement with German power amplifier manufacturer Camco, and both companies have been actively collaborating on the development of the new amplified controllers, which are exclusively manufactured for L-Acoustics by Wenden-based Camco.
Christian Heil, CEO of L-Acoustics, explains: “The joint venture with Camco on the LA4 and LA8 is the outcome of years of thinking on the future specifications and features of our system approach. We have chosen Camco as our partner for the LA4 and LA8 project as we believe they were the best candidates to combine high performance amplification and networking technologies. The DSP engine we jointly developed offers exclusive features, such as dual IIR/FIR algorithms, L-DRIVE protection system and EQ contour interface. The bottom line for our clients is a turnkey approach, which allows them to get more performance out of their L-Acoustics sound systems with a high level of protection and simplified ergonomics. We are excited about this collaboration with Camco who have our highest respect for their expertise, quality and reliability.”
According to Reiner Sassmann, CEO of Camco: “This collaboration is truly exiting for us.
