At the recent Pro Light+Sound fair in Frankfurt, ChainMaster presented a series of new products, among them, the JumboLift, which ChainMaster developed for heavy loads such as video cubes. Conforming to the BGV-C1 code of practice, the JumboLift covers safe working loads up to 6,000 kilograms. The device is equipped with a frequency converter, an incremental encoder and optionally also with an absolute value encoder. The controller is available in both one- and two-channel versions, with a switching cabinet control system plus breakdown control a further option. The ChainMaster JumboLift is also available in a BGV-D8 version.
ChainMaster also presented an update to its successful VarioLift series. This update brings a number of improvements including higher speeds. With the 125 kg version of the VarioLift, for example, speeds ranging from 1 to 42 metres per minute are now possible and with the 200 kg version from 2 to 35 m/min.
The device offers maximum precision and reproducibility in the positioning of chain hoists. It is based on an integrated vector-controlled frequency converter, supplied by a high impulse incremental encoder. The VarioLift operates with a positional accuracy of 0.2 millimetres.
The VarioLift product range includes models for loads ranging from 125 kg to 6,300 kg conforming to the BGV-C1 standard. It all means that a model is available for applications as diverse as scenery movement to the lifting of heavy loads.
