New Software Release and New Router for Klotz Digital’s Aeon
All Klotz Digital Aeon Audio-Networking consoles are now shipped based on the VADIS 212 router and control engine. Also the company announced today that AEON is now available with software release 2.0, bringing a new level of power and functionality to the versatile and well established mixing console.
The upgrade to software release 2.0 provides DJs as well as engineers a variety of new features. Via ‘User Rights Management’ the engineer in charge is able to freely create user groups with individually assigned user rights. The user groups are password protected against unauthorized access. Individuals can have the right to change console adjustments according to their level of training, for example selection of sources to faders, channel presets, storage of snapshots, adjustment of the parameters EQs, DYN, MIC preamp and many others. The “User Right Management” is an excellent tool to simplify the management of large user groups.
The AEON Setup Tool (AST) has also been improved. Clean feed busses can be changed individually on the console as well as switching of panorama/balance and pre/post fader allowing flexibility in creating return signals. AST offers access to the specification of the AES output stream format enabling the user to choose between professional and consumer formats. The GPI management has been enhanced by providing a trigger action during system start up to perform macro-programmed actions such as routings and GPIs. Additionally the monitoring section has been improved for extending of talk back features. Monitor Mute is now also affected by microphone CUE actions following AEON’s intelligent MUTE logic. This will prevent damage to loudspeakers and operators ears, if a MIC CUE has been switched on accidentally.
Last but not least the software release 2.0 supports Klotz Digital’s CMI GPI 16 as an external device to control and tie in additional devices. Thus the number of GPIs is expanded to a total of 24.
