Stage Technologies Fly at the Cannon Awards!
Silk performers demonstrated incredible skill and strength at the Cannon UK Awards recently. The acrobatic show used a Stage Technologies automated winch to give greater height and movement to one of the silk performers.
The awards were held at the East Winter Gardens in Canary Wharf, a beautiful glass building with a very high arched ceiling, ideal for an aerial performance. Stage Technologies worked with visual and physical artistes’ consultancy Acrobat Productions on this project. Well know for their creative performances at product launches, press events, award ceremonies, film and television, Acrobat Productions wanted to add something special to the Cannon Award by including the automated effect. Stage Technologies provided a BigTow290 performer-flying winch, controlled by a simple Saxis control unit and handheld controller. This offered a very simple, easy to use system that could be installed effortlessly for this one-day event.
