Christie Screens Digital Titles at Cannes Film Festival
Selected by XDC, Christie will screen over 80 digital movie titles at the 60th Cannes Film Festival, which begins today, May 16th and runs to May 27th.
Christie is providing XDC with the world’s most installed and preferred DLP Cinema projectors, the Christie CP2000 series which will screen major digital titles over the course of the Festival. As the Official Digital Cinema Partner of the Cannes Film Festival, XDC will offer a complete digital screening solution to over 16 auditoriums; including the Grand Théâtre Lumière and the new 60th Anniversary Theatre.
Richard Nye, Christie’s market development manager for cinema in Europe, Middle East & Africa stated: “After successfully supporting digital screenings at the Toronto Film Festival for over six years and more recently the Pusan International Film Festival, Asia’s largest, Christie is delighted to have the opportunity to support Cannes and what is possibly the most widely celebrated of all cinema festivals.”

Christie recently expanded its popular line of 2K resolution Digital Cinema projection solutions with the introduction of the Christie CP2000-ZX DLP Cinema projector. The CP2000-ZX is designed for smaller theatres and screen-sizes more commonly found in Europe.
