Christie Selected by XDC as Exclusive Supplier for Digital Screenings at Cannes Film Festival
Christie has been selected by XDC as the projection supplier for the digital screenings at the 60th Cannes Film Festival, which runs from May 16th – 27th, 2007.
Last year, more than 60 years on from the first festival, Cannes played host to more than 28,000 accredited industry professionals from 107 participating nations; and a combined total of 149 features and short-films were selected for the festival, with over 1,000 movies screened during the festival and the Film Market; making it the largest celebration of cinema in the World.
Christie will provide XDC with 2K DLP Cinema digital cinema projectors which will screen digital titles over the course of the Festival. And as the Official Digital Cinema Partner of the Cannes Film Festival, XDC will offer a complete digital screening solution for over 16 auditoriums at the festival.
