CP Sound Specifies JBL Speakers for the Royals’ Favourite Club
Creative sound and installation specialists CP Sound has installed a new sound system at Boujis club in South Kensington, London. The system incorporates JBL MRX loudspeakers, which were supplied by Harman Pro UK.
Boujis, a regular haunt of The Royals, is a boutique club that has received numerous London Club & Bar awards. At the end of 2006, the club decided to upgrade its sound system and called in CP Sound to handle the project.
CP Sound’s Colin Pattenden explains: “We had recently installed a JBL system into Boujis’ sister club, Volstead, and this proved so popular that the parent company requested a similar upgrade at Boujis. The system we installed was based around JBL MRX speakers and included pairs of Control 28s in each of the club’s four separate zones. We also installed a JRX118 sub and a pair of Control 29 AV-1s in the area behind the DJ booth.”
CP Sound specialises in supplying and installing sound, lighting and audio visual systems for a diverse range of high profile customers, including many top clubs and restaurants such as the Waxy O’Connor Irish pub in London’s West End, Bootsy Brogan’s bars in Fulham and Wembley and the Maroush restaurants in London.
Based in Middlesex, the company is headed by Pattenden who has been involved in the music industry for over 30 years and is renowned for his trained and meticulous ear for sound.
“Whenever possible I always install JBL speakers because I believe they are the best,” he adds. “With Boujis, we were working with a blank canvas because the entire sound system was being replaced and I was able to specify a reliable system that I knew would deliver professional results.”
