Creative Technology Launch Dubai Operation

Creative Technology has announced the launch of a new operating division to service its’ expanding client base in the Middle East and Gulf region. CT Dubai provides the response to a growing demand for a high quality and specialist video-staging supplier in the region.
The company, from its London base, has been active in the Gulf for several years, supplying LED screens to major events such as the Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix, as well as corporate events for both local and international production businesses. The new regional office establishes a permanent presence in the market that will enable CT to provide a more cost-effective service with reduced freight costs.
Damien McGurn, a veteran of the region's event staging industry, will head up the new venture as general manager. He will be joined by Mark Woodhouse, who moves to Dubai from CT London, as project director, providing the all-important interface with CT's systems and processes in the UK.
The initial equipment inventory will include the region’s first fully-digital portable production unit (PPU), 10 and 20k DLP projectors, LED Screens complete with fully-configured ‘Encore’ wide screen control systems as well as a wide selection of ancillary equipment to handle sophisticated video event staging.
Charlie Whittock, MD of CT London commented: "We have seen the events market in Dubai mature in recent years. There are now a number of specialist production companies working alongside the established full-service equipment houses. We see an increasing demand for the sophisticated and innovative service that CT is known for, from both local customers and international event producers, working in the area. We have taken our time to ensure we have the right structure, and most importantly the right people, in place to fulfil our customers’ expectations. The business has got off to a flying start and we are optimistic about our future prospects".
