Flamenco Museum Networks with Soundweb London

Advanced processing from BSS Audio, a Harman International Company, is crucial to the audio-visual design at the new Museum of Flamenco Dancing (Museo del Baile Flamenco) in Seville.
Andalucia is the home of flamenco and the museum is the destination for anyone wanting to understand and experience the dance.
It was conceived by Cristina Hoyos, one of flamenco’s most acclaimed stars, as a meeting place for aficionados combined with a dance school, where visitors are able to learn more about the history of the dance.
The $4.8 million three-storey visitor attraction sits in the historic heart of the city, housed in a lovingly-restored 18th-century building and boasting galleries for exhibitions and stages for performances and courses in dance, singing and guitar.
The charm of flamenco is brought to life with a sophisticated audio-visual infrastructure, executed by installers Vitelsa, working under the overall creative direction of Tiquitoc Producciones.
The design includes more than 65 JBL enclosures comprising Control Contractor and AE series products, powered by Crown CTS and XLS series power amplifiers and equalised using seven dbx 215 graphic equalisers.
The system includes a network of seven BSS Audio Soundweb London BLU-80 devices which provide input processing and distribution of audio across the numerous multipurpose rooms, used for exhibitions and conferences. A BLU-10 touch screen controller provides overall system control.
On the ground floor, another highlight is the Andaluz patio. In the evening the space is transformed into a café cantante, the 19th-century predecessor to today’s tablao – a live stage where flamenco is performed and the different “palos” (forms) of flamenco dance are demonstrated through live shows.
A combination of Soundcraft FX8 and E6 consoles perform mixing duties both here and throughout the building.
All Harman Professional equipment was supplied by Harman Professional distributors, Earpro SA.
