More Training Courses from Stage Electrics

Stage Electrics training has recently become accredited to IPAF and PASMA, boosting the number of courses the company is able to offer.

IPAF’s training objective is ‘to promote the use of safe working practices in the operation of mobile elevating and mast climbing work platforms and thereby make a positive contribution to the prevention of accidents’.

In the early 1980s, PASMA devised a training course for users of alloy towers, now universally acknowledged as the industry standard, and so commenced a long history of skills training to make the use of access towers as safe as possible by producing many thousands of competent users.

The current Stage Electrics training programme now includes accredited courses, PASMA Mobile Access Tower training and IPAF Mobile Elevated Work Platform training (MEWP). The courses are a mixture of theory and hands on practical experience, on successful completion delegates will receive certificates of competency and Photo ID Cards.

A series of accredited courses have already been scheduled at Stage Electrics’ Head Office in Bristol in June, including MEWP training on 4th June and Mobile Access Tower training on 12th June. For this course BECTU members can benefit from a dramatically reduced rate. MEWP training returns again on 18th, 19th and 20th June. IPAF and PASMA courses are also available at customer’s venues; anyone wishing to enquire about the courses should contact mailto:customertraining@stage-electrics.co.uk.

Sara Alarabi, training manager at Stage Electrics said: “We are very excited about our accreditation. Being able to offer more courses can only help to improve the safely standards across our industry.”
