Reproduced Sound 23 Call for Papers
Organised by the Electroacoustics Group of the Institute of Acoustics In collaboration with ABTT, APRS and ISCE, Reproduced Sound 23 ‘Hall of Sound: Audio for live events’ will take place on Thursday 29 – Friday 30 November 2007 at The Sage, Gateshead.
This Reproduced Sound conference will be hosted at one of the UK’s newest and largest venues for staging concerts and other live events. The event will have an auditorium to use for the presentations and for any demonstrations associated with these, so there is an exciting opportunity to devote a large part of the conference to subjects relating to audio in the production of live events. These might include: Sound Monitoring for Live Recording and Broadcast; Microphones and Their Use; Stage Monitor Systems; Maintaining Quality in Sound Transmission Systems; Sound Reinforcement; Life Safety Sound and Licensing; Acoustics issues in Multi-purpose Music Halls; Psycho-acoustics of reverberant spaces for Amplified Music>
There is now a call for papers on topics related to the following: Sound Reinforcement, Room Acoustics, Recording (Audio and Video), Broadcast, Loudspeakers & Microphones, Intelligibility and Innovations.
Any paper on the above or other electroacoustics topics will be considered. Please send an abstract of 200 words to the Institute of Acoustics at mailto:linda.canty@ioa.org.uk by 15 June 2007. Notification of accepted papers will be mailed by 25 June 2007. Final written papers for the proceedings on CD must be received by 26 October 2007.
