White Light Graduates Open Day 2007

On Wednesday June 6th, entertainment lighting specialist White Light will hold its 2007 Graduates Open Day, continuing what has become an annual event popular with those interested in making a career in the technical side of the entertainment industry.
Intended to be both a practical and a social event, the Graduates Open Day aims to let visitors explore some of the latest lighting products, meet their peers and talk to those already working in the industry. The many manufacturers represented at the Open Day will include all of those represented by White Light in the UK - Robert Juliat, LSC, Look Solutions, Rainbow, ELC, LDDE and Wireless Solutions. They will be joined by others including ETC, MA Lighting, Martin, Rosco and Vari-Lite.
In addition to staff from those companies and from White Light itself, visitors will be able to meet a number of established industry professionals, including a “special guest speaker” from the Lighting Industry. Previous special guests include Paul Pyant in 2006, currently lighting The Lord of the Rings at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Rob Halliday in 2005, currently lighting Daddy Cool in Berlin, and double-Olivier Award winner Paule Constable in 2004.
The White Light Graduates Open Day is open to anyone contemplating a design or technical career in the entertainment lighting industry, whether currently a student at a drama school, at a university or at school. The event will run from 11am to 5pm on Wednesday 6th June at White Light in Wimbledon. White Light is easily accessible by road, rail, tube, bus and even tram - full details can be found at www.WhiteLight.Ltd.uk/where.
Those wishing to attend should contact White Light’s new Training Co-Ordinator, Caz Williamson, at White Light on 020 8254 4800 or by email to training@WhiteLight.Ltd.uk - just to ensure there is enough food and drink available on the day.
