Zero 88 Leap Frog on Tour at Stage Electrics in May

Stage Electrics is hosting free training on Zero 88’s brand new Leap Frog desk in May with sessions at its Bristol, Exeter, Cambridge and Tyneside branches.
These sessions will be the first time, since the launch of the desks in March, for potential purchasers to get hands-on experience in a non-trade show environment.
The Leap Frog is the latest generation of the Frog consoles with generic dimming control and capability for 200 moving lights.
The new desks feature two DMX universes as standard, USB storage, external touch screen support, multiple onboard LCD displays and multifunctional keys.
Consistency of operation with the existing Frog desks is maintained but the new software allows 200 fixtures to be controlled on either of the desks which can be allocated to up to 200 groups. 200 colour, beam and position palettes can be recorded to provide the user with quick access when programming or operating live.
Leap Frogs offer three operating modes; a simple non-tracking mode for beginners, an advanced partial mode and a new professional mode which offers parameter level programming and full tracking with split times.
During the free sessions Peter Kirkup from Zero 88 will cover an overview of the desks, as well as programming and replaying cues, submasters and palettes. Advanced desk functions will be introduced and discussed.
These free sessions will be taking place at Stage Electrics branches in Exeter on Monday 21st May, Bristol on Tuesday 22nd, Cambridge on 23rd and Tyneside on the 25th.
The training sessions will take approximately 45 mins, starting on the hour. The first session will be at 10.00 and the last session at 15:00. Customers can join any session of their choice during the day but should pre-register by e-mailing mailto://customertraining@stage-electrics.co.uk or by contacting their local branch.
Peter Kirkup said: “it’s great to allow potential customers the chance to get hands on experience on our new desk, the Leap Frog has received a really positive response already and the first desks are due to be delivered very soon.”
