ADB Lighting Launches Mentor XT Intelligent and Generic Lighting Desk at ABTT
ADB Lighting and its UK distributor, LSI Projects, will unveil the latest ADB Lighting control desk at the ABTT show in London on June 13-14 – the Mentor XT intelligent and generic lighting control desk, which makes its UK début at the show.
Mentor/XT is an affordable, expandable alternative to the successful Mentor lighting control desk. The original ‘4 desks in 1’ concept has been greatly enhanced with the addition of a state-of-the-art motion control section and a flexible 48, 72 or 96-submaster capability.
It is designed to exploit the abilities of both intelligent and generic lighting fixtures in a single compact, affordable desk with a new dedicated motion control section for controlling automated luminaires.
As standard, the desk offers a choice of 512, 1024 or 2048 instruments/channels and 48 on-board submasters with optional extensions to 72 or 96 submasters via one or two plug-in modules and/or Mentor extension wings.
The new motion control section has a dedicated moving light control trackball and four encoding wheels with displays. Up to four video outputs are available and the desk comes as standard with the latest, fourth-generation ISIS 2.34 software including cue lists for running up to 96 crossfades simultaneously.
All of the standard Mentor’s features are retained on the Mentor XT, including two DMX universes on XLR5, 16 DMX universes through Ethernet, Linux operating system, configurable user profiles, manual preset style capability, on-board touch screen, optional Wi-Fi or HF remote control, and all the state-of-art Ethernet functions and operating features of the original Mentor.
The enhanced performance level, flexibility and ease of use make Mentor/XT the most rewarding choice for discerning users in theatre, television, musical and touring applications – hence the tag ‘4 desks in 1’.
