Coemar and Laura Pausini in S. Siro Stadium
A spectacular event characterized by great elegance was the recent concert of Laura Pausini at the S. Siro stadium in Milan. Despite incessant rain during the build-up, the installation, in terms of impact and reliability, provided for the high level of expectation of lighting designer, stage designer, and director Francesco De Cave, now in his fifth year working for the singer.
The project included an oversize stage (70m wide, 24m high, 20m deep) with a 90 square metre screen at the centre. The back-drop covered 300 square metres, and was defined with screen strips with graphical effects of new generation MiStrip - used for the first time in Italy. At the sides of the stage, two 40 square metre LED screens showed live images of the concert.
Lighting equipment involved from Coemar included 120 metres of Linea LED to outline the stage. Sixty ParLite LEDs were placed inside the 40x40 trusses of 220 metres and mounted on four levels. Eighty iSpot Extremes were divided between trusses, back illumination and floor and made a wall of light with the MiStrip. Fifteen Panorama Power MK2 with 575 lamps (used without frost lenses to make focused, defined and uniform light beams) provided back illumination for the Plexiglass stairs of the stage, and another 35, placed against the light towards the scene, generated a unique coloured backwall.
The project was commissioned by Milano Concerti Live Nation and the lighting contractor was Agorą. LED material for scenography was by New Light.
