Essential’s Open Days Show Off New Barco Scenic LED Fixtures
Esential Lighting Group last week hosted the industry at their West London headquarters to demonstrate their recent investment in Barco MiTRIX and MiSTRIP scenic LED fixtures.
Tony ‘Turbo’ Hall transformed Essential’s demonstration and pre-production suite in to a full size event with creative use of MiTRIX and MiSTIP fixtures including a wave shaped ceiling piece, moving screens and reveal pieces, multi-layered alcoves revealed and concealed though the semi-transparent scenic LED screens.
The event was very well attended with hundreds of lighting designers, production managers, trade customers and set designers getting the opportunity to see the equipment in action, and get a hands-on look at the components and how the system is constructed.
Essential Lighting claim to be the world’s first lighting rental company stocking Barco MiTRIX and MiSTRIP Scenic LED fixtures.
MiTRIX is a lightweight, bright and highly transparent LED module with 16 by 8 pixels and a pixel pitch of 24mm. MiSTRIP, a linear pixel strip with 13.25mm inline pixel pitch, can be freely spaced to suit the resolution required, offering immense flexibility in a wide variety of applications.
The fixtures are IP65 rated and are extremely bright allowing the designer to easily create suspended or ground supported semi-transparent displays, or dynamically integrate a scenic LED effect with any pixel pitch, into the set and space available.
The reveal sequence and scenic elements of the event were filmed and a DVD with full information pack is available for anyone who was not able to attend. Simply contact Stephen Craggs on 0208 335 6000 to request your copy.
