Movecat to Present New SLG Series at Showtech
At this year's Showtech in Berlin (Hall 2, Booth 440), Movecat is presenting the first chain hoist in its brand new SLG series. The model in question is the SLG 500-6 (pictured), which is capable of lifting a safe working load of 500kg at 6 metres per minute, while complying with the BGV C1 code of practice.
The most remarkable feature of the SLG 500-6 is its self-inhibiting gearing mechanism, which makes it possible to dispense with additional brakes, thereby avoiding the associated maintenance costs. Furthermore, this gearing mechanism provides for smooth starting and stopping and a corresponding reduction in the dynamic forces and influences to which suspended loads are subjected, which in turn is reflected in very smooth chain runs and minimal noise emission.
Movecat recommends the SLG 500-6 for fixed installations in theatres, TV studios and multifunction halls. The self-weight of the hoist with a single chain fall (two load chain falls are available as an option) is 57 kg. BG and TÜV certification pending.
