Selecon at ABTT 2007

Against the backdrop of a new-look dynamic and theatrically-influenced booth Selecon continue to live up to their reputation for consistent and innovative product development with the debut of several new luminaires including the long throw Toru 4º-8º Followspot, the third and final model from the Performer Series range of Followspots. Previously seen in pre-production mode and now in full production, the Toru 4º-8º Followspot features a comprehensive control suite with CTO filter, 24-leaf iris, cutters, dowser and diffusion frost; built-in universal 100V-250V electronic power supply and integrated 6-colour changer. Designed to plug straight into a domestic power socket this integrated package delivers 2-3 times the light output of other 1200W / 2500W MSR / HMI Followspots!

Sporting a fresh new look the updated Acclaim Fresnel and PC introduce long-awaited heat management to 500W/650W luminaires – a feature which ensures operators can focus these versatile little stage lighting workhorses without the need for gloves. The new Acclaim luminaires also include the integrated safety bond design feature alongside Selecon’s well known mains power isolation solution ensuring full compliance with European Standards for safe and reliable operation in any venue – not just for use by professionals.

The Selecon team is confident that these new model Acclaims will continue the proud tradition of innovation, performance and excellent value for money set by their predecessors plus there’s a new model barndoor to complete the look!

Also displayed at 145 Lawrence Hall was a new model, pre-production Arena Fresnel, together with a good representation of the rest of Selecon’s extensive range of lens luminaires, profiles, cycs, floods, groundrow and followspots.
