70 Outline Butterflies for Wembley Diana Concert
70 Outline Butterfly Hi-packs installed by Britannia Row Productions at Wembley Stadium in London contributed to the success of the mega-concert in memory of Lady Diana.
The impressive show – transmitted live in 140 countries and viewed by 500 million people – featured some of the world’s most important artists. They included Elton John, Rod Stewart, James Morrison, Take That, Duran Duran, Brian Ferry, Black Eyed Peas, Will Young, Nellie Furtado, Anastacia and Italy’s Andrea Bocelli.
The Butterfly Hi-packs were used along with 20 Subtech 218s, and the system was powered by Outline T Series amplifiers. System engineer for the concert was Sherif El Barbari.
This same Outline array will be used again at Wembley on 7th July for the sound reinforcement at ‘Live Earth’, another record-breaking concert event dedicated to the defence of the planet. Here too, there will be no lack of top names, first and foremost the ex vice-president of the United States, Al Gore, the event’s organiser.
