Arena Structures Wins Four More Years at The Open
The R&A has awarded Arena Structures an extension of its existing contract to supply The Open Championship with course structures until 2011. The new contract starts in 2008, following the successful conclusion of the current contract at the 2007 event in Carnoustie this July, at which one of the main structures will traverse a stream running across the course.
Arena Structures has a unique track record at UK golfing tournaments and this year alone will have supplied over 500,000 square metres of structures to the major UK golf events, from Wentworth to Loch Lomond to Celtic Manor by the end of October this year.
Bespoke structures range from luxurious double decker hospitality suites used by corporate sponsors such as BMW and HSBC to welcome VIPs and project their brand image, players and VIP lounges, as well as more functional spaces such as press centres. The company has a strong reputation for creating temporary environments that meet the event’s branding and sponsor needs.
Ron Smith, Arena Structure's projects director said: “We are delighted to be able to continue our relationship with The R&A and look forward to offering the highest standard of service at The Open Championship over the coming years.”
