DeSisti Fixtures for BBC
DeSisti Lighting have supplied 40 of their CST 25 F Fresnel compact discharge lighting fixtures to Elstree Light & Power Ltd, who installed them on BBC 1’s new early evening flagship programme ‘The One Show’.
These were fully specified, with DMX controlled internal iris and On / Off switching. As the studio has a large area of exterior window, these were provided complete with 250W MSR HR daylight lamps, the iris providing 0 – 100% aperture control. The igniter and ballast are integral with the fixture, allowing direct connection to the studio power supply as with conventional studio lighting.
Drawing a meagre 2.6A, the output is the equivalent of a 1kW head. Simply by changing the bubble these can operate at 32000K, making them a truly flexible light.
