Di and Di of Italy Stocks Up on Martin Gear
Di and Di Lighting & Truck s.r.l. of Rome is one of Italy’s largest rental companies for entertainment lighting gear (www.danddrent.com). Founded in 1995 by Albino Biancifiori and his sons, David and Danilo, Di and Di have established themselves as a key supplier to Italy’s well-developed television market.
With a recent purchase of Martin moving head and LED lighting gear, Di and Di have now expanded into other rental areas such as the sizable touring market. “With the recent purchase of Martin moving heads and LED lighting gear, Di and Di is a new reality in dry rental for the international market,” commented Di and Di head David Biancifiori.
Di and Di have greatly expanded their stock of lighting equipment through the purchase of a large, two million euro Martin lighting package. Added to their existing stock are 100 MAC 700 Profiles, 50 MAC 700 Washes, 100 MAC TW1 tungsten washlights, 50 MAC 2000 Washes, 50 Stagebar 54L and 50 Stagebar 54S LED luminaires and 50 LC 2140 LED panels. The new gear joins Di and Di’s existing Martin stock of 104 MAC 2000 Performances, 102 MAC 700 Washes, 90 MAC 2000 Washes, 60 MAC TW1s, 9 MAC 2000 Profiles, 16 MAC 600 washlights and 16 MAC 250 Washes.
“We chose Martin's products for their high reliability, the huge variety of equipment and last but not least for the visual elegance of the fixtures that makes them so agreeable to the eye,” states David Biancifiori. “Moreover, the excellent opinion of Martin products by one of the most important Italian lighting designers, Gianni Mastropietro, strengthened our choice.”
