HK Audio Live Sound Reference Calculator as Free Download
Today’s live audio techs face myriad challenge. They must know all about the physics of line array systems, including their coverage, radius, frequency response, and signal delay times. What’s more, they must be able to deduce wavelengths from frequencies, and apply intricate formulae to calculate the complex interaction of volts, ohms, amperes, and dB.
Now, courtesy of the German-based sound reinforcement specialist HK Audio, a small but powerful tool is here to help with the math. Programmed to perform the 15 most common mathematical formulae, the free Live Sound Reference Calculator solves seven categories of equations – volt and dB; watts, volts and ohms; frequency and wavelength; SPL and distance; delay; near-field line array; frequency-dependent damping at distances.
Best of all, the Live Sound Reference Calculator is not only available in German as well as English versions for Windows-based PCs, but also for all standard Java-enabled mobile phones. The tool is available now for downloading at http://www.hkaudio.com/lsr
