PSL Preferred by Exciting New City Venue

PSL has been appointed as a Preferred Supplier to the new Prince Consort Rooms at the HAC.
The Honourable Artillery Company’s exciting new £6.5 million conference and events venue was officially opened by HM The Queen on May 18th 2007. Contemporary and modern, yet incorporating elements of the HAC’s history, the Prince Consort Rooms are an exceptionally sleek and stylish City venue of great character. Built to the highest specification and with the needs of the modern event organiser in mind, the venue can accommodate up to 750 people at a reception, or be divided into smaller areas.
Equally suited to both daytime conferences and evenng events, the Prince Consort Rooms have been built in the shell of a Victorian drill hall. PSL is honoured to have been chosen as a Preferred Supplier of AV and Production, and has already produced custom-designed sets for the venue. The Prince Consort Rooms have an in-built pinspot lighting scheme and audio visual infrastructure which will be augmented by PSL’s high-tech inventory of display screens, digital sound reinforcement and state-of-the-art media servers and playback devices.
The HAC, with its magnificent six acre garden and historic Armoury House, has long been one of the City’s secret gems. With the addition of the Prince Consort Rooms, which seats up to 450 for a conference or dinner, the HAC is also now able to offer one of the largest capacity venues in the City.
Diane Waldron, Head of Marketing and Events at the HAC, said, “the City is short of flexible, large-capacity venues that can accommodate 300-plus guests. To complement this fabulous historical setting effectively, we need to offer our clients a comprehensive technical production service, and, through PSL, we will be able to offer an unequalled combination of the very latest technology backed up by experience and excellent service.”
The Honourable Artillery Company is the oldest Regiment in the British Army. It was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1537 by King Henry VIII. Regiments of the Company have fought with distinction in both World Wars and its current Regiment, which forms part of the Territorial Army, has a demanding and exciting role. The HAC Regiment, which is part of the Allied Command Europe Rapid Reaction Corps, has had some 85 of its officers and soldiers mobilised for operations in Iraq over the last two years.
