Blitz the Right Choice

Blitz Communications has given the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency (SCDEA) its full support to help raise the awareness of the dangers of drugs, alcohol and smoking to children. The SCDEA held Choices for Life events throughout Scotland's mainland and islands in order to help children make educated choices by encouraging them to be individuals and be able to resist peer pressure.

Blitz has a strong reputation of applying its expertise to various different types of events and prides itself on using its own equipment to make each event unique. The Choices for Life event was no exception and Blitz verified its commitment in providing versatile state of the art technology to inland and island shores of Scotland. Blitz used three Barco R12 projectors in order to project live images linking acts and venues onto 20 x 15 ft screens during the mainland road show and Barco G8 projectors onto12 ft screens when touring the islands.

Douglas Walker from the Strathclyde Police comments: "The SCDEA is committed to effectively educating children and the Choices for Life road show is an excellent method of driving forward our message. It was imperative that audience interaction maximised the impact of the show and the projection was a vital component in order for us to achieve this. Blitz has demonstrated that it is dedicated to providing its most advanced equipment to help dynamically engage a challenging audience."

Nigel Jones of Blitz Manchester says: "We were extremely proud to support the SCDEA and Strathclyde Police this year in such a worthy cause. We have a responsibility to educate the next generation and it was vital that Blitz provided the technology to capture the importance of the message. We wanted to tell a story to the audience and build the excitement through the day by projecting powerful images to help reach the children."
